    Фільм «Довбуш» продовжує збирати зали вже майже три місяця, а касові збори становлять 67 794 722 грн та  480 351 проданих квитків.

    APPLICATIONS FOR BELDOCS PITCHING FORUM 2024 ARE NOW OPEN

    Application for Beldocs Pitching Forum 2024 is open.

     

    The Beldocs International Documentary Film Festival invites filmmakers to apply for the Beldocs Pitching Forum, which will take place in Belgrade, Serbia, on May 23-25, 2024, to which filmmakers from Ukraine, Western Balkans (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Slovenia, Serbia), the Baltic States (Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania), as well as Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Moldova and the Czech Republic are invited.

    The projects participating in the Beldocs Pitching Forum will compete for the Al Jazeera Balkans cash prize and numerous prizes provided by Beldocs partners – Thessaloniki International Documentary Film Festival, Documentary Film Institute, European Documentary Association, Pitch the Doc, Forgrade Post-Production Award and others.

    Applications are submitted in the form and are accepted in 2 sections – Beldocs in Development (projects in production) and Beldocs in Progress (projects in production and post-production).

    The application deadline is February 5, 2024!

    Beldocs Industry Days 2024 is co-funded by the European Union through Creative Europe MEDIA.

    THE COTTBUS FILM FESTIVAL ENDED ON NOVEMBER 12

    On November 12, the Film Festival Cottbus ended.

    Film Festival Cottbus is one of the world’s leading contemporary film festivals in Central and Eastern Europe.

    The film «Forever – Forever» by Anna Buryachkova, created with the support of the Ukrainian State Film Agency, won the main competition at the international film festival.

    Congratulations to the film team on their victory!

    «Forever – Forever» is a story about survival and love at the same time, about shame but also carefree, about freedom and dependence on your body. It’s about desperation, tenderness, pain, pleasure, and the search for yourself and the right decisions. It’s also a film about the youth of those who are now over 30, those who have become the most passionate and dedicated fighters for freedom in modern times.

    The German premiere of the film «Lessons of Tolerance» directed by Arkadii Nepytaliuk, created with the support of the Ukrainian State Film Agency took place in the «Spectrum» section.

    According to the film’s plot – an ordinary Ukrainian family agrees to participate in the European integration program Lessons of Tolerance to cope with financial difficulties. But among other challenges, they are also worried about what their neighbors will say.

    The world premiere of the documentary film «Bartka» directed by Volodymyr Bakum, created with the support of the Ukrainian State Film Agency took place in the «EcoEast» section.

    The film tells the story of Vasyl Pavlovych, a forester from the Ukrainian Carpathians who has been cutting down wood all his life and periodically suffers from floods. The hero believes that the floods are caused by global warming. Where is the truth?

    Also, in the short film competition the film «As It Was» by Anastasia Solonevych and Damian Kocur took part.

    On November 11, during the Ukrainian Day, free screenings of the following Ukrainian films were held, which belong to the section «Spotlight: Ukraine»:

    «Sashenka» by Alexander Zhovna (created with the support of the Ukrainian State Film Agency);

    «How Far is Close» by Inga Pylypchuk;

    «Smouldering: The Tree of Life» by Nadiia Mykolaienko;

    «Photophobia» by Ivan Ostroсhovsky and Pavlo Pekarcik;

    «You Know It’s Going to Be About War» by Olga Tsybulska.

    The Cottbus Film Festival (FFC) was founded in 1991.

    Today, it is one of the most internationally recognized film festivals in Eastern Europe.

    This year’s Film Festival in Cottbus was held from November 7 to 12.

    IN OCTOBER, A SERIES OF CREATIVE MEETINGS AND A SCREENING OF THE ANIMATED SERIAL “MY COUNTRY IS UKRAINE” TOOK PLACE IN THE KHARKIV REGION

    In October, a series of creative meetings and a screening of the animated serial «My Country is Ukraine» took place in Kharkiv and the Kharkiv region.

    Interesting events for children and screenings of the film in Kharkiv and Kharkiv region were held with the participation of children’s writer and screenwriter Lana Ra.

    «My Country is Ukraine» produced by «Novatorfilm» studio is a local history and educational animated serial about a trip to Ukraine with legends and history of the native land. In each of the 26 episodes of the serial, its characters Sashko Lirnyk and Kit visit different parts of Ukraine and tell fairy tales or legends related to a certain place on the map of Ukraine.

    ON NOVEMBER 9, THE PREMIERE OF THE FILM «GENDELYK» DIRECTED BY TARAS DUDAR TOOK PLACE

    On November 9, the Ukrainian premiere of the film «Gendelyk» directed by Taras Dudar took place.

    The Ukrainian premiere of the lyric comedy directed by Taras Dudar «Gendelyk» took place on November 9 in Kyiv at the Cinema House with the participation of a star cast.

    In the plot of the movie: the main character, screenwriter Ivan Gerasimov, due to a creative crisis fails to deliver his movie script on time. The fee is spent, and the client, a very influential person, threatens to kill him. The screenwriter flees the city and finds himself in a mysterious cafe called «Gendelyk». There he meets his old friends and two strangers who weigh up all his good and bad deeds as if they are arguing for his soul. Who are they? What is this place? And will he be able to get out of it?

    The film has been screened at numerous international festivals and won numerous awards.

    The film was directed by Taras Dudar, scripted by Oleksandr Stolyarov and Dmytro Hryhorenko, produced by Oleksiy Nazaruk, composed by Ivan Zavhorodniy, and directed by Oleksandr Teterin, produced by Dmytro Ovechkin and Yuriy Budyak.

    The actors are Vladyslav Mamchur, Lyudmyla Zahorska, Vladyslav Nikitiuk, Oleksandr Rudko, Serhiy Syplyvyi, Stanislav Moskvin, Serhiy Petko, Mykhailo Kukuyuk, Taras Tsymbalyuk, Ihor Portyanko, Oleksandr Yarema, Artemiy Yegorov and others.

    The film Gendelyk will be released in Ukrainian cinemas on November 16.

    «Between Us» is the debut full-length feature film by director Solomiia Tomashchuk.

    In the center of events – is a girl Sasha with a traumatic past and chaotic love relationships, played by Anastasia Pustovit. Next to her, in an unexpected role, is the cult actress Irma Vitovska, who embodies the image of Doctor Anya.

    One day, the women’s fates intersect, and an unexpected twist of fate makes it clear that changes are inevitable. But will the characters be able to maintain their relationship in the new circumstances?

    The screenings continue, so come to the cinema to see the story of two women who are united by a common secret.

    The «Mavka» animated film has become available for Argentine viewers, so if you are in Argentina, dive into the story of the Forest Guardian, full of centuries-old secrets, magic and love.

    «Mavka. Forest song» – was based on Lesya Ukrainka’s «The Forest Song» and adapted to the family animation genre.

    The cartoon was also based on images from Slavic myths and legends.

    ON NOVEMBER 9TH, THE WORLD PREMIERE OF THE DRAMA OXYGEN STATION TOOK PLACE AT THE PÖFF | TALLINN BLACK NIGHTS FILM FESTIVAL IN TALLINN

    On November 9th, the world premiere of the feature-length poetic drama Oxygen Station directed by Ivan Tymchenko took place as part of the main competition program of the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival.

    The film was presented by: Ivan Tymchenko, Svitlana Soloviova, Alzbeta Janackova, Olga Bova, Oleksandr Shcherbyna, Alla Samoilenko, Olena Vakhrameeva, Zoya Vlasenko.

    Representatives of the Embassy of Ukraine in Estonia attended the screening.

    The film is based on real events from the life of Soviet dissident Mustafa Dzhemilev. The film is based on the incredible story of the meeting between Mustafa and his future wife Safinar. For the sake of the meeting, the characters overcome thousands of kilometers, their own fears and obstacles of the totalitarian system.

    In the cast: Borys Orlov, Khrystyna Deilyk, Viktor Poltoratskyi, Viacheslav Zhyla, Serhiy Petko, Vasyl Kukharskyi, Olena Vakhrameeva, Zoya Vlasenko, Edem Ibadullaev, Beso Moistsrapishvili and others.
